1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website may store on your device. They can support the technical operation of a service, remember preferences, measure audiences or serve advertising. Technologies such as browser local storage can perform similar functions.
2. Ad measurement is optional
The website uses functional cookies for your selected language, ad measurement choice and member-account session. The session starts only after verification or sign-in; its cookie contains a random identifier and is protected by HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax.
Only after acceptance, the Google Ads tag may use measurement cookies, including first-party cookies with the _gcl_ prefix, to attribute Speaker Elite requests to ads. Request identifiers are held in page memory to prevent sending the same conversion repeatedly. We do not use Google Analytics, remarketing or enhanced conversions.

3. Technical infrastructure
The website is delivered through Cloudflare. Depending on active security features and traffic characteristics, Cloudflare may use cookies strictly necessary to protect and provide the service. The Association does not use them for advertising. Their list and purposes are described in the official Cloudflare documentation .
4. Consent
You can accept or refuse measurement in the banner through equally accessible choices. Your choice lasts six months. Dismissing the former notice does not mean consent. Reopen “Cookie preferences” in the footer to change your choice or withdraw consent. Refusal does not prevent access to pages or form submission. On withdrawal we stop future conversions and delete accessible Google measurement cookies on our domain; we cannot delete cookies on Google domains. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
5. Browser controls
Most browsers let you view, delete or block cookies in their settings. If you delete the functional cookies described above, the information bar may reappear, the language preference may be forgotten, and deleting the session cookie signs you out. Blocking them does not restrict access to the website’s public content.
